She is the inventor of our technology platform and has a track record of innovating disruptive solutions for health applications. Chang Yi directed the development of the first peptide based diagnostic kit, the first fully synthetic designer peptide vaccine, and one of the only synthetic peptide vaccines in the world. She has over 100 issued patents and patent applications and has published more than 120 peer reviewed scientific papers. Chang Yi is also the founder of United Biomedical, Inc. and has served as Chairperson of the Board since December 1985, and as Chief Scientific Officer since 1985. Chang Yi is also Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of UBI-Asia. Prior to industry, she was a principal investigator and head of the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Division, Cornell University Medical School. Chang Yi received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan University and her Ph.D. degree in immunology and biochemistry from The Rockefeller University.
